The kitchen is one room in the majority of houses where people tend to spend an awful lot of time every day, at the start of the day we congregate for breakfast, throughout the day housewives do their daily chores, and at the end of the day we all meet again for our evening meals, a very busy place indeed.

Here are a few style suggestions that will hopefully point you in the right direction.

Retro: If have a diner style kitchen then a retro look clock may be a good choose for you. A nice round traditional clock in a colour that matches the room or a metal finish would look great too, if you want to take the retro theme even further consider a reproduction Coca Cola, Orange crush, Nesbitt’s ltd edition clock. These are modern day copies of the iconic wall clocks that adorned diners across the USA in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Modern: A modern kitchen will typically be clean and uncluttered, stainless steel and glass will feature heavily, and perhaps matching plain white ceramic canister sets for storing utensils and condiments. In this type of kitchen maybe a stainless steel wall clock may fit in nicely, mirrored wall clocks can look stunning in a modern kitchen, they are not seen very often (maybe the thought of cleaning them puts people off) but are unique and readily available.

Country kitchens: Traditional country style kitchens are still probably the most popular kitchen. Wooden wall units and counter tops feature heavily, and old fashioned décor styles that usually feature flowered patterns. Many clocks are available for this type of kitchen, maybe a sunflower design or a daisy wall clock with pendulum. Most traditional clocks will fit in a traditional kitchen; it really is just a case of making sure the colour matches your décor.
